The Bubbleator

BubbleatorThe 5 bag Bubbleator will make the most efficient use of your trim or even your flowers should you prefer to ingest, vape or smoke a carbon free product.

The 5 bag BBL system consists of the Bubbleator mini washing machine, the zippered Pyramid bag that holds the leaf material and 5 filter bags.

The process starts by filling the machine 1/3 full with water, add 1 bag of ice cubes and run the machine for 2 minutes. Put 250-300 gram of trim or chopped up flowers (fresh or dried) into the Pyramid bag and add it to the washing machine. Set it for 5-7 minutes.

While the machine is running set up your bags in a clean un-used bucket, I like the 5 gallon plastic ones from the paint or hardware store. All the bags are numbered, set them into the bucket starting with the smallest number and ending with the 220. I set my Bubbleator on the counter and my bucket into the kitchen sink.

When the machine stops, unhook the drain hose and let all the water run into the bucket with the bags. Now comes the fun part: pull the bags out of the bucket one at a time. The 1 st bag, the 220 will only contain leaf material that may have escaped from the Pyramid bag, the 185 will contain some contaminants, they can be dried and used for edibles, more on that later.

The next bag is the 90 and it will contain only the largest trichome heads, the 70 will contain smaller heads. The 38 bag will contain very small, immature and broken heads as well as stems and bits of cellulose, the color will be darker and this is considered a lower quality.

Bubbleator When ‘pulling’ the bags a good trick is to pull the bottom of the bag to a point and encourage all the trichomes to be Photos supplied by Sita washed into the center by dipping the tip of the bag into the water a few times. Take a clean kitchen towel and wrap it around the outside of the bag to absorb excess water, don’t squeeze too hard or you’ll mash your trichs into the mesh.

Carefully scrape the ‘mud’ out of the bottom of the silkscreen, I like to use a spoon. Then mash the mud through a stainless steel kitchen or tea strainer and lay it out on a piece of cardboard to dry. Allow 24 hours to dry completely.

Pour the water back into the Bubbleator, run it for 15 minutes, run the water through the bags and repeat the entire process a third time. I don’t usually clean out the bags between the 2nd and 3rd run.

After the last run be sure to rinse your Bubbleator very well with extra cold water, trichs get caught in the foam and the ridges of the drain hose.

Wait! There’s more! If you let your water stand for about 4 hours you will notice a layer of mud on the bottom of the bucket.Pour off as much of the water as possible and pour the last of the water and mud through a coffee filter, be patient, it takes a while to drain. Once dried, the results as well as the results from the 185 bag or even all your product, one gram of dried trichs mixed with one ounce of butter or oil in a heat proof bowl and placed over a pot of simmering water for about 1 hour. This process is called ‘decarboxilation ‘. The heat converts the active ingredient that the liver can process more easily. This extra process makes for very powerful edibles. Measure how much you use and allow 60-90 minutes to take effect. Do not operate machinery or drive while using this product.
